Treasure Trove for AdministratorsThe latest version 8.0 of baramundi Management Suite offers a number of new features. These include per-user software deployment, support for Windows 7, the facility to work with Oracle databases, and various improvements to the user-defined variables, to baramundi Development Studio and to other components of the suite. In addition to inventory management and software deployment, the baramundi Management Suite also offers operating system installations via the network, patch management, disaster recovery, personal backup and the administration of Citrix farms.
IAIT has looked at how the system behaves in practice, paying close attention in particular to Windows 7 support and per-user software deployment.

baramundi makes the management of Citrix terminal systems automatic
baramundi recently expanded its Management Suite by adding a component for the management of Citrix terminal systems. It is now possible to manage Citrix server farms in parallel with the existing client desktops. SearchNetworking took a look at the tool and its applications in action.
