Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG

Anyone who thinks a cable car needs little more than a few gondolas, support towers, and a lot of cable is greatly underestimating the effort involved. Even on the Zugspitze, it wouldn’t be possible without IT.

For this reason, the work of Christoph Elsner, IT Director at Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG, is at the highest level—both literally and figuratively. Hundreds of employees here rely on reliably functioning computer workstations to ensure the smooth transportation of thousands of mountain enthusiasts.
