From Analysis to Action: baramundi Unveils baramundi Proactive Hub at it-sa 2026

At it-sa 2026, baramundi will officially unveil the Proactive Hub for the first time. The platform combines insights, AI-powered recommendations, and direct actions to help IT teams prioritize risks more effectively, identify issues at an early stage, and proactively optimize endpoint operations.

Augsburg, October 27, 2026 – baramundi software GmbH will officially unveil the baramundi Proactive Hub to the public for the first time at it-sa 2026 in Nuremberg. This next-generation IT management platform helps IT teams not only manage endpoints but also operate them proactively. Building on its predecessor, baramundi perform2work, the solution brings together security, stability, performance, and the software lifecycle under a single interface. It also includes security features, AI-based recommendations, and additional capabilities for direct remediation and automation.

Insights, Guidance, Action—Three Areas in One Platform
Many IT teams today operate reactively: they process tickets, respond to incidents, and struggle with a multitude of alerts and data sources. The baramundi Proactive Hub addresses this by connecting three key areas.

  • “Insights” collects and analyzes data on performance, stability, user experience, and security.
  • “Guidance” helps with prioritization and provides concrete recommendations for action.
  • “Action” enables the direct implementation of measures and lays the foundation for automation and future autonomous processes.

The familiar features related to Digital Employee Experience and Endpoint Analytics from perform2work remain intact and are included in the baramundi Proactive Hub Essential edition. The baramundi Proactive Hub Advanced edition supplements these with security features.

Prioritizing vulnerabilities based on actual risk
The new security module automatically cross-references known vulnerabilities with the applications, versions, and endpoints deployed in the organization’s environment. In addition to standardized CVSS scores, an AI-powered scoring model assesses risks based on current threat intelligence, known exploits, and actual exploitability. This provides administrators with a prioritization based on real risk rather than long lists of theoretical findings. The analysis is performed centrally in the cloud based on inventory data, eliminating the need for resource-intensive local scans on endpoints. Based on this, the Proactive Hub suggests appropriate patch and update measures.

AI-Based Recommendations and Spotlight
Software crashes and application freezes are among the most common causes of digital friction. The upcoming AI-based recommendations will analyze error codes, provide further information on crashes and possible causes, and suggest specific next steps. In the future, anonymized insights from other Proactive Hub environments will also be incorporated, without allowing any conclusions to be drawn about individual companies. The new Spotlight serves as the central entry point to the platform. It specifically highlights issues related to security, stability, and performance, as well as lifecycle and updates, where administrator intervention is actually necessary, while filtering out irrelevant information.

From Insight to Action: Updates and Software Lifecycle
With Application Updates, applications can be brought up to date from a baramundi-verified catalog of more than 14,000 software packages without time-consuming packaging or individual jobs. Admins define the desired target state, and the Proactive Hub ensures compliance. For time-critical updates, immediate execution is available. The installation and uninstallation of applications also follow this principle. In combination with activity signals, unused applications can be identified, which lowers licensing costs and reduces the attack surface. In the future, the operating system will also come into focus: The Proactive Hub displays the update status of Windows systems, supports the automated management of Windows Updates, and makes failed installations or pending reboots immediately visible.

New License and Environment Management
Licenses can be managed centrally and flexibly distributed across different environments. An environment can represent a location, a subsidiary, or — for partners and managed service providers—a single customer. Many adjustments to license distribution are made via self-service, without requiring a separate process through baramundi. Administrators can see centrally how many licenses are available and how they have been distributed.
