Digital Accessibility at baramundi
We, baramundi software GmbH, are committed to making our website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
This statement outlines how we ensure accessibility on our website and what measures we take to facilitate its use for everyone. baramundi software GmbH strives to make its digital presence at www.baramundi.com accessible without barriers.
1. Scope of Application
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.baramundi.com. We have made every effort to ensure that our entire website is accessible. However, certain external content not directly integrated into our website (e.g., embedded third-party content) may not yet be fully accessible. Our website largely complies with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and is therefore considered to be accessible.
The current accessibility status (as of June 2025) is as follows:
- Fully accessible: The website meets all requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1. All content is fully accessible, and there are no known accessibility barriers.
- Largely accessible: The website meets most of the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.2; however, minor accessibility issues may still exist, which we aim to resolve in the near future.
- Partially accessible: Some parts of the website do not fully comply with the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.2. We have already taken steps to improve accessibility, but certain areas – such as interactive functions or multimedia content – are not yet fully accessible.
- Not accessible: A significant portion of the website is currently not accessible. We are aware of these barriers and are actively working to remove them, but a full transition has not yet been completed.
Fully accessible:
- Degree of Compliance: 95–100%
- Criteria: All requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 are met. There are no known barriers, and no significant accessibility issues have been identified. Only very minor, non-relevant deviations from the standards may exist, which do not constitute actual barriers.
Largely accessible:
- Degree of Compliance: 76–94%
- Criteria: Most of the requirements are met; however, minor barriers may still exist, such as a small area that is not yet fully accessible (e.g., some interactive features or insufficient color contrast). There is a clear plan in place to address and resolve these barriers.
Partially accessible:
- Degree of Compliance: 41–75%
- Criteria: A significant portion of the website is not fully accessible, but improvement measures have already been initiated and will be implemented in the near future. Some key areas, such as multimedia content or interactive elements, are currently inaccessible or not properly implemented.
Not accessible:
- Degree of Compliance: 0–40%
- Criteria: A large part of the website is not accessible, with significant barriers that limit usability for people with disabilities. There are no sufficient measures in place yet to remove these barriers, or only very basic steps have been taken.
2. Identification of Accessibility Issues
Despite our efforts, there are still some areas of our website that are not yet fully accessible. These include:
Insufficient labeling of form controls: Some checkboxes and radio buttons have generic labels, making their specific purpose unclear to users.
Missing descriptive labels on dropdown menus: Select lists currently lack clear labels that accurately convey the purpose or content of the selection.
Inconsistent use of ARIA attributes: Important ARIA attributes such as aria-label and aria-labelledby are not used consistently, which may prevent assistive technologies from reliably conveying necessary information.
Insufficient error messaging and focus management: Error messages are not always communicated in context or immediately, and the focus is not automatically directed to the first invalid field after a failed submission, making correction more difficult.
PDF documents: PDF documents are not fully optimized for accessible use.
Legacy content: Some content published before the current legal requirements came into effect may not fully meet today's accessibility standards. Retrofitting this content would represent a disproportionate financial burden. All newly created content is continuously designed to be accessible.
We are continuously working to remove these barriers and will improve the affected functionalities as soon as possible.
3. Feedback and Contact Options

4. Technical Details
We use technologies that support the accessibility of our website. These include:
Alt text for images: Relevant images on the website are provided with descriptive alternative texts.
ARIA labels and landmarks: We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) to enhance navigation for screen reader users.
Review and Updates of the Accessibility Statement
