AI Workflows: baramundi Expands Traditional Automation

Augsburg, August 3, 2026 – baramundi software GmbH, a provider of unified endpoint management solutions, is expanding the baramundi Management Suite with new interfaces for automation and artificial intelligence. At the core are an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and an official n8n connector based on the bConnect API.
Integrating endpoint management processes into existing automation and tool landscapes is a time-consuming and laborious task for IT teams — especially when there are no resources available for traditional software development. With the new n8n connector and the MCP server, baramundi lowers the barrier to entry for integrations and enables customers and partners to independently automate workflows related to the baramundi Management Suite and accelerate them with AI capabilities.
MCP Server as an AI Interface
An MCP server is an interface that allows an AI application to access external data sources, tools, and services in a standardized manner according to the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), in order to securely and systematically incorporate their functions into its responses. In this way, baramundi’s MCP server makes the data and processes of the baramundi Management Suite available to large language models.
n8n Integration Node
n8n is an open-source platform for workflow automation that enables the connection and automation of various applications, services, and data sources via visual, no-code, or low-code workflows. Using the open n8n Integration Node, baramundi connects this platform to the baramundi Management Suite via the bConnect API. Since n8n can also be self-hosted, the connector also stands for digital sovereignty “Made in Germany.”
Smart Endpoint Management: Practical, Voice-Controlled, Community-Driven
Early use cases are already demonstrating this potential in practice: When combined with context from UEM solutions, ITSM processes gain significantly greater transparency and, thanks to AI, can perform many tasks autonomously. The extent to which a “human in the loop” is still desired can be configured on a case-by-case basis. The underlying workflows can be executed manually or on a scheduled basis. In combination with AI, endpoint management will be controllable via natural language in the future.
The integration options are provided and further developed in collaboration with the baramundi community via GitHub repositories.
