In collaboration with Fujitsu, the baramundi Management Suite provides an integrated solution for the management of hardware-related device features. The relevant functions use tools from the Fujitsu DeskView manageability family, integrating their features into the baramundi Management Suite. Fujitsu end devices can therefore now be cataloged and configured at the firmware level. All functions are controlled by established baramundi Management Suite mechanisms. This includes cataloging and configuring BIOS/UEFI settings, as well as updating BIOS/UEFI firmware, simplifying tasks like operating system migration, security management and hardware rollouts.
For example, a client’s software as well as its firmware can be automatically updated centrally as part of a migration project. Or conditions can be set at the BIOS/UEFI level to subsequently activate Windows security functions like BitLocker. The Fujitsu Feature Finder can help to determine what systems with which range of functions can be supported via DeskView. You can download a white paper (Hardware Management: Integrating Fujitsu DeskView) about this here.
