Client

Client

An end device or endpoint in a network is also referred to as a client. Classically, this refers to PCs and laptops. The client receives tasks and services from the server within a network. Managing and maintaining clients over their entire lifecycle from a central interface is still often referred to as Client Lifecycle Management (CLM). A more holistic and comprehensive term is Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), which also includes mobile devices.
