In collaboration with Fujitsu, baramundi Management Suite (starting with version 2014 R2) is offering an integrated solution for the management of hardware-related device features. The associated functionalities use tools from the Fujitsu DeskView Manageability family and integrate their features into the baramundi Management Suite. This way, Fujitsu devices can be administered up to the BIOS level in terms of inventory and configuration.
All functions are controlled using the established baramundi Management Suite mechanisms. These include taking an inventory of and configuring BIOS settings, and updating BIOS/UEFI firmware. This simplifies tasks like , security management, and hardware rollouts. operating system migrations
For example, clients' firmware can be centrally and automatically updated in addition to software in the context of migration projects. Or, prerequisites can be created at the BIOS level in order to later activate security functions like BitLocker in Windows.
